FED:Govt ends some drought aid after rain
CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - Another 14 areas of south-eastern Australia have been taken
off the drought assistance list due to the heavy rains across those areas in recent months.
Agriculture minister Joe Ludwig said the government had accepted the independent advice
of the National Rural Advisory Council (ENRAGE) on 21 Exceptional Circumstances declarations.
Senator Ludwig said assistance would not be extended in 14 areas in NSW, five areas
in Victoria and one area in South Australia.
